doubleD Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 got my yukon back from audio shop , hits hard but some music the amp clips on low notes and some it dosent. ive got a treo cxt 4.1 amp two vmax 1800 batts 0gage wire and a 240 amp ohio gen alt just for the the amp.. running four treo ssx 18"... what can i do to crank the hell out of it with out it clipping

A bass boost is fine if he also tunes that before the amp but after the head unit. You guys are right about clipped recordings though. Data Head unit Processors (line drivers, EQs, bass boost, etc) Amp ^thats the order your stuff should be tuned. Always tune with an o-scope for the maximum volume that's safe to be achieved.
