  1. good to know they can sound good off of music, i bought hx2 powers instead
  2. Some sort of short ram or cold air intake for sure, stock is just to restricted. With more air coming in, almost have to do exhaust to really feel the benefit. Get a machine shop to bore out your throttle body some, and put in a new plate. Also anything that is rotational mass, like rims, pullys, get lighter versions, you would be surprised how much more oomph your car can have with some lightweight forged rims. Probably easiest way to get the most bang for your buck would be some sort of nitrous, best bet would be a wet kit. Throttle body spacers dont do crap for performance, but if you plan on going the nitrous route, a throttle body spacer is a good place to drill and put your nozzle.
  3. wheres lanman? but to answer your ? from what i heard also, is only go with the opti series
  4. looks pretty loud, i thought the team rockfords didnt play music well?
  5. 90 degrees is pretty hot, under hood temperature would be more than usual and hurt performance, when they test those numbers for cars, like 0-60 and quarter mile times its almost always in perfect conditions.
  6. Could be a number of things, like conditions at the track, temperture, track prep, ect. Street numbers and track numbers are two completely different things. Lots of practice and good track conditons is essential. Looking in the other direction could be the car as in things like fuel filter, air filter, plugs / wires, little things like that can hinder performance alot, even though you say last owner took care of it, never know how many miles can be on that stuff.
  7. I have had a yellow top in the engine bay with 2k watts coming off of it with stock alt. and still holding up strong after 3 years, seems like a hit or miss with them though
  8. i wouldnt, later down the road you will have bigger responsabilities than just a new car, which will take a few years to pay off or lease, anything can happen in those few years, i vote not a wise choice
  9. i was actually about to rewire my subs, the terminals fit 8 gauge, but im wiring each sub parallel, and the terminal wont accept the 2nd 8 gauge wire, what are my options with that?
  10. much props sinosic, excatly what i was looking for, ty very much
  11. TY any way to tell what this guy tuned my box to, he told me 32hrtz but im no expert, if its not i want to take it up with him
  12. wow i was messing with a calc. i found online, looks like box is tuned to roughly 23-24 hrtz, that sound correct for the sizes i posted if so, dude messed up big time, and its tuned WAY low, any help =)
  13. heres some pics. sry for the delay, wondering if anyone can calculate the actual cu ft of this box, plus what its tuned to, ty box size is 20"(d) x 35"(w) x 13"(h) and also the port goes in 11 inches.
  14. ya sry, subs are dual 2 ohm, each one is wired at 1 ohm, amp is audiobahn a2300hct, suppose to be 1200 watts rms each channel at 1 ohm. The box im not sure, had a local proff. build the box, i can get some pics.
  15. new hear, had my setup for awhile, want more out of it, currently is 2 12" hx2 powers in 4cu ft. ported box tuned to 32 hrtz. amp is a a2300hct, had it metered last year at 144.1 on music, ? is , is this box to small for these subs? would 5cu ft. be better?
