Alright guys.

I have 2 T1500-1bds and was wondering if i should run these with the BTLs or BLs for them getting really loud.... Or should I go with a single 18 BTL and get Dual 1 Coils and run one amp per coil?

Thoughts?

go 2 BL's fully loaded

you'll need the extra cooling but those amps will be perfect.

I have the t1k and it gets loud.

if you gave the same power to 2 BTL's it would just "tickle" them.

your one 18 BTL idea sounds good but if you get 2 18" BL's you will have more cone area :hairtrick:

Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple

Alright so anyone else want to chime in?

Just trying to figure out if I go with the BLs instead of the BTLs that it will be louder because I know the BTLs are beasts....

I would say the fully loaded BLs with what you have to work with. The BLs can get very loud.

Need an install? Hit me up.

I vote (2) 15" BTL's. As already stated, they will be louder. Is it worth the difference in price? That is up to you.

1500+ watts each is more than enough for them to sound good. I have run (4) on a single MD2D and they ran just fine. Even if you have 10,000 watts, do they sound bad at low volume? Hmmm. . .

And when it comes time to make it even louder, you get more amp but don't have to change subs.

Brian

Current system:

1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s

Previous systems:

2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz.

1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz.

Yeah I see where you're going with this but i want to make sure those fuckers are going to make my head hurt ;P

cause i know the BLs would move more than th BTLs but i have no idea if that would help me or hurt me....

Forget the BL's get BTL since everybody is getting them.

What does that matter? Do I sense a little bitterness towards the BTL?

I'd go with the BL's if those 1500's are the amps you are going to stick with.... But I've seen your progress so far since you joined here.... and you are going to upgrade again, it's just the way things work.... Get the BTL's, and when (in a couple months) it's not loud enough for you, you'll have the headroom to swap those 1500's out for a pair of 3k amps.... Just my opinion... grain of salt and all...
