wL<3bass Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 ouch i guess i should ask what ohm it is. i hate waiting to hear back on e-mails lol. but i wanted to go sealed because i have 2 10" re series and i found they played better sealed then ported becuase i listen to everything, from country, to techno/trance/house, to rap, heavy meatl. to rock. so i didnt find the ported to play all the notes i wanted it to play. plus i suck at desgining box's. lol ported enclosures that are deigned well can play alot of different types of music very well....my enclosure was tuned at 31hz and sound great on everything from heavy metal to country to rap to chopped and screwed stuff....and people here can help you with designs. Sp33dyG Posted April 23, 2009 Report Posted April 23, 2009 i would go with the xxx at 1 ohm in a 3 cu ft. box tuned to 28 hz.if this amp really puts out that 1600 then thats perfect. you might want to get a better amp if your going for true sound quality but it will work. dual 4 ohm, 2 ohm or 1 ohm(rare but i've seen them) voicecoils? damn 28hz? thats kinda low dont u think 32-33hz is better? i heard they sound best at around that freq. Quote the only person i wouldnt let build my box would be Ray. Team Heavy-Flex4 SA 12's tuned to 29hz Ampere Audio 3800.1 @ 1 ohmXS Power D3100Big 3Stock alt

brewer_brewer Posted April 23, 2009 Report Posted April 23, 2009 damn 28hz? thats kinda low dont u think 32-33hz is better? i heard they sound best at around that freq. thats what i had my old style xxx's tuned to for a sound quality setup. 32-33 is still great and honestly you can't really tell the difference unless you're trying to.
