two tahoe's showed up both on 26's.

one had a RF t1500.1bd powering 4 15's and the other that was gold with gold rims had 2 18's powered off a t4k IIRC.

needless to say downfire boxes sound horrible with the back door open.

jack explained to us that a downfire creates a port with the back door so with it open you are literally taking your port out which made everything sound like ass.

the guy with 2 18's started frying his coils and they got realllly hot.

he wasn't even aware of it until half of us started feelin his subs.

technically every suv with sub up port back uses there back as a port.

besides that there is no back pressure so the sub bottoms out.

ouch. i'll remember to not use a downfire. i'll hopefully be getting the tahoe next year. i'm gonna start buying the audio this year though. probably just 2 15"s and 2 DAT 2500.1's and then get the tahoe and move up from there. i have alot i wanna do to it.
