i've got a us amp md3d merlin 2006 amp. for some reason unknown it stopped working, but the fuses on the amp and inside the amp are still good. but it will kick on then throw the protection light and blow the fuse under my hood. it worked good when i got it i bought it used on ebay :censored: so that might be the major problem. but then again it worked good for like 2 months. then kicked off never to work again and i cant find anyone thats able to repair it. and us amp themselves (re audio) said yea we can fix it for 200 plus you pay shipping. but if the board is fried we cant fix it. so if i send it to them ill b out 300 + and no promise that they can fix it. can someone please help me on here? :search:

http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff190/L...MZ/PICT0010.jpg and this is the other side of the board

hopefully this will help someone on here figure out if it can be fixed or not or if im just wasting time and money. i know they wont james but i live in ohio and i just think it would to expensive to get this one fixed compared to buying a new one.

I would say you almost certainly have a couple of cooked FETs in there and maybe damaged drive components too.

200 is a pretty fair price, depending on how broken it is... you could send it to Chris at db-r.com for an estimate :)

TBH it's worth paying the extra 50 bucks and not risking it going to a 'hack' shop where they'll cut your old FETs off at the board and solder the new ones on to the legs...
