My Box Design....

Recommended Posts

i am running a Zapco Studio 500 on them.. about 1000-1300watts roughly.

i think they sound good. better than my sealed 15's i use to have. Cloak559 was over a day ago and i don't think he was impressed with the bass mechanik CD for a few seconds. They are mostly for music not tones, but for me they are enough. But still overall louder than my 15's were and more tight, or so it seems.

maybe i can get a video tommorow during the daylight hours.

I think that your setup looks real NICE...I am going to upgrade the p1's to the ssd's I think...I think That would be a nice upgrade...That way when I build my box I can build it to compliment the ssd's ....I gotta sell a few things before I get those though...or else my old lady might trade me in...!!!

check out FI's forum before you by and make sure you get the woofer that fits your needs. They have reviews and other stuff there. I got the ssd's basicly because of the power i have available.

I also had a question about the second baffle...Did you sandwich the metal the the box was up against or did you cut it off? Because I can't see how that piece would sit flush with that metal between it and the box

A couple links to some box builds:

Tahoe Box 1, Tahoe Box 2, Nissan Titan, VW GTI,

Mini-Bump, Hummer H2, Ford F-150

My own car builds (current setup --- under construction):

Overall Thread, Kickpods, Dash, Back Doors

Subwoofer Wall

sandwiched - no.

the box fits under it. i hit the brakes the other day on a test run and it ended up behind the front seats.

i will be bolting some angle iron to the side of the box for the front panel and that assembly will most likely bolt to the metal of the car.

the opening in the cover for the port is larger than the port itself. i doubt i'll notice a tuning change.
