lanman31337
Should have a little bit of a flatter response as well, not as high as a peak at 28 as you would say 35 hertz. 2 - Audiopipe AP30001Ds 1 - Lanzar Opti Scion 600.4 4 - Lanzar Optidrive 1232D's 1 - Lanzar Opti 5.1 1 - Lanzar Opti 6.1 1 - Lanzar Opti 6C midbass 1 - Alphasonic PCT6551 1 - Lanzar VX830 1 - JBL 22 band EQ 1 - Lanzar SDBT75NU 1 - AudioControl Epic160
cichlidfort
I heard Kicker L7s don't do well on the lows. They do best with frequencies in the 40s. Maybe I should build a box around 30 hz? 2008 Chevy Impala (undercover cop style) Setup in the makings
eliassami5
I heard Kicker L7s don't do well on the lows. They do best with frequencies in the 40s. Maybe I should build a box around 30 hz? ...what?? L7's murder the lows, at least mine does. Its in a 3cu ft box tuned to 30hz being fed 1500 watts, it hits harder than the 2 12's in my jeep. Build it low and it will go loww. In my jeep with the two 12's i went from a box tuned to 29hz to a box tuned to 35hz and it was like night and day, there is very little flex now and the lows dont hit nearly as hard. I wish i never went to 35hz. But yea you will definitely hear and feel the difference. edit: here's a vid of 4 15in l7's sealed...you tell me if it gets low http://realmofexcursion.com/videos/Various/kickerl715.1.wmv 91' Jeep Cherokee - The Heep Just Empty Every Pocket 96' Volvo 960 - The B◘x [sPL_4_U] HiFonics - Alpine Pioneer - Clarion Infinity - Kicker KnuKonceptz

What would you guys go, 28 or 30hz? 2008 Chevy Impala (undercover cop style) Setup in the makings
Ray
whats the f3 point? since that is what determines how "low" a box will play. you can build 2 boxes both tuned to 30hz, 1 box has an f3 of 20hz another can have an f3 of 32hz for instance I am building a box right now. tuned to 44.5hz f3 of 34.6 built a box yesterday, tuned to 35hz with an f3 of 35hz There is alottttttttttttttttttttt more that goes into enclosure design than most of you realize. Getting all the way to post 16 in this thread with noone bringing it up proves my point. 2008 California state record holder 157.2 Bassrace2009 California state record holder 157.0 BassraceRollin 50's 158.7db2009 King of Cali Bassrace2009 USACi score 160.5 @ 42hz

I am using this calculator http://reaudio.com/speaker_box/LPort_Box_Calc.html Should I not even bother with the RE calc for this kind of stuff? 2008 Chevy Impala (undercover cop style) Setup in the makings
