Do I Need A Ho Alt?

Recommended Posts

I mean is it necessary. Here is my new install idea.

1. 2 RF T-1000-1bd's

2. 1 Mb Quart Discus 480

3. 2 Hc 800's

4. Stock Alt

5. Big 3

6. Optima up front

Can my stock 105 (i believe) alt handle all this?

i honestly would hope it could, but its not ever bad to have a high output alternator imo

True a Ho alt wont hurt a thing, i am just wondering because my alt is underneath my engine block, and would be a BITCH to get to. So if a stock will work than that would be great.

nobody can tell for sure. depends on what your vehicles using, looks like you have decent battery bank for 1k rms htough

Well i would have two T-1000-1bd's prob about 2400-2600 watts, stock alt, optima, two Hc 800's

there has to be something to CHARGE the battery bank, what good will it do to have a ton of batteries when they are dead and cant be charged because your alt is working overtime to charge your cars abttery, the battery bank, and run all of the other accessories.
