Designing Enclosures...

Recommended Posts

I was wondering what programs or formulas many of you use to make enclosures?

Do you use the manufacturers suggested box dimensions and cubic feet requirements or do you plug in the thiele small parameters into a program and let that program tell you the kind of box to build?

Thanks for any answers.

There are a few different programs to use. A good beginner program is WinISD...there is a bit to learn about using it though. I do not even look at the manufacturers recommended enclosures.

Anyone know of an online program similar to subwoofertools.com? I was hoping to build my enclosure for my 15" L7 in my golf this weekend, but it seems subwoofertools.com is either being worked on, or it was taken down. I wish I had printed out those measurements, dammit.

You don't let the program tell you what to do, you tell the program what you want it to do. :D
