jmanjr82 Posted May 27, 2009 Report Posted May 27, 2009 its not really the strength of the wood, its the sound it makes....birch is #1 choice and a bit pricey. MDF #2 cheaper a bit easier to work with. #3 anything you can get your hands on if you do a few coats of resin inside to make it smooth etc....so resin that baby good an you should be fine....hurry up an get done!!
svman Posted May 28, 2009 Author Report Posted May 28, 2009 got some more done today not as much as I would like but here it is putting a few coats of resin on the inside drilling the hole for the dowel rod to go through resin dowel rod in place goes through the port just makeing the supports look nice just a pic of my bikes
