jdmbb95 Posted May 29, 2009 Author Report Posted May 29, 2009 ouch, okay i would rma it like whoever said. i just wanted to see if there were any other problems. yea no clipping or voltage problems just a cheap amp i guess doesnt like 1ohm. i think the bxi amp will be better i mean who wants to only get 10 mins of play time before the amp is to hot and shuts down.
MaxDB Posted May 29, 2009 Report Posted May 29, 2009 The Hifonics BXi 1210D is a good amp. I have one. i ran 2 1200peak/600rms 12's off of it dvc 4 ohm wire down to 1 ohm and it had no problem playing it for hours on end full tilt. and it would just be warm.. the subs finally gave out. (they were cheap pyle's). so id say to go with it. it'll handle it fine. 2000 ford taurus SE 24v DOHC Doors: MachAudio Stock System Subwoofer: 18" WMD D2 4.8cft @ 35hz Amp: Hifonics Bxi 1210D Amp Wire:4/0 gauge power wire to amp Alt: Stock Alt

Got_Bass89 Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 I ran four them (2608D) and never had an issue. I sold all four them and the people running them beat the crap out of them with no issue's. For the money its a great amp. Before everyone jumps on the "They don't do rated" kick, talk to Mike Stiers and he'll tell ya that 14.4 and they do rated. Thank you very much and no heat issues for me... I bang it at idle 12volts even and can't get it hot.... Gibbs Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 no problems here either, ran a BXi608d and currently running a BXi1606d. played through more than 2 songs without an issue. Check out my build and the band Like We Always Do! Once you start you can never stop. Bass addiction is serious. And there is no 12 step program for it. Subs are like titties, They need to come in pairs because ones and threes are just wrong, and larger amounts will always draw a crowd, we all have our favorite sizes, but the bigger ones are more fun to watch move.

raytard Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 i dont personally run them, but i will say ive seen 3 this week come in fried from overheating, one so bad the terminal plastics were melted off i dont even carry hifonics anymore, people wander in to see if we can fix them on the spot admittedly its probably because of a shoddy install, peolpe trying to save a buck on an amp will also save a buck and run cheap 8g for a 140 amp draw, but wtvr Build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...hl=avalon+build monster/rockford/kicker/stinger cables, pioneer source, jbl highs/amps, kinetik/shuriken batts, iraggi alt, dei security, dc subs(atleast for now) Team DC
