bennett15 Posted June 1, 2009 Report Posted June 1, 2009 So today i wired my FI Q to .7 ohm thought it was wired to 1 ohm and hooked it up to my Bxi1608D and it instantly started to smoke and it still turns on but i get now output from it what so ever. I also re-wired it to 1 ohm and still got nothing. bennett15 Posted June 1, 2009 Author Report Posted June 1, 2009 LOL I go ahead and say the .7 didn't blow the amp the load was over 1 after box rise thats what i thought before i hooked it up i checked the wire leads with the dmm and it said .7 i was like okay with box rise it will be over 1 so i turn system on i could here the sub move a little bit then proceeded to turn deck up then amp made whole bunch of noises like fuses were blowing then it made the magical white smoke and there was a lot of it.
