jagblazer01 Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 just picked my Maxx-Link up last weekend. Im trying to get some insite on it though. Basically I was reading through the directions and it shows how to strap 2 amps to 1 sub and 4 amps to 2 subs. I dont wanna strap my amps though. im running 2 amps and 2 subs, but I wanna run 1 amp to each woofer. I bought this so I could basically use it as a line driver and to get the gains set easier. Anyone have any experience with these that I might be able to talk to about it Team Sundown Audio / Team XS Power / Team SHOK SMD Super Buyer/Sellerwww.sundownaudio.com www.shokindustries.com www.4xspower.com www.excessiveamperage.com
97maxima Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 yea instead of spliting off the rcas left ch and right ch for 2 amps linked you will run the first set of outs to the first amp and the second set of outs to the next amp, follow the rest of the directions in the same manner American Bass*DC Power

audiofanaticz Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 You need to use all the NEGATIVES on the maxxlink if you are using mono block amps.
jagblazer01 Posted June 2, 2009 Author Report Posted June 2, 2009 im running 2 sundown 3000s...so I would run the left and right channels of one amp to say the "-" channel of A and B on the MaxxLink and not use the + at all? audiofanaticz Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 Correct. Im currently using my maxxlink the same as you. If you use a POSITIVE and a NEGATIVE to one amp, the 2 will cancel each other out resulting in now sound output. So whichever maybe easyiest to you. Use a 2 channel rca and use channel A and B negative outputs into the first amps left and right rca input. then use channel C and D negative outputs into the second amps left and right inputs. Or you can do pratically the same thing as above, but only use channel A negative output from the maxxlink and add a Y cable/splitter at the end to split the signal between the 2 inputs on the amp (as shown in the maxxlink manual). Then of coarse channel B output to the 2nd amp with another Y Cable.
