2 Btl 18's.. Breakage Has Begun

It's toast - I thought it would hang on longer than this. I think all of the pressure is going up into the headliner through where the factory 4x10's mount above the box. When I took the 4x10's out, it let more air through, then bye bye climate control. I think I'll try to block those holes off somehow.

I'm ghetto, I used expanding foam to make a sort of wall around the rear speakers where the headliner meets the roof. This stiffened everything up, and helped prevent the air from blowing forward as hard. I also used some to wall off the area around the a/c controls between headliner and roof. This helped hold the vents in place, the controls in place, and the a/c in place, as well as preventing as much air from moving through there, and it stiffened the entire thing. Probably not the best solution, but about the easiest and it was effective- as well as cost effective.

I'm probably just going to plate over the entire holes under the factory grille. Just plate aluminum with pop-rivits should do it..

^^^ I had to do the same thing on my subburban with the A/C Bent the fram to the head liner then Gorilla glued the shit out of it!

man thats funny mine didnt last 5 mins after my install and my head liner is almost air tite i've been thinkin about usein wood peices on the sides of it and screwin it back in
