Dale Posted June 5, 2007 Report Share Posted June 5, 2007 i havent had that problem with my 18sx in gf setup but theoretically i could see that a larger cone would have a slower response to beats then a smaller one X2....and also larger subwoofers are geared toward lower frequency ranges. notice that many large woofers have very low Fs. That's because a larger woofer can and will play naturally lower than smaller ones. Many times what happens is that a larger sub will hit the same notes, but one or two octaves lower. andym85 Posted June 5, 2007 Report Share Posted June 5, 2007 it just that sometimes I here people saying that larger size subs like 15's and 18's cant produce high bass notes as well as a smaller size subs like 12's, is this true? how high of a frequency are we talking about here? i likes me some audio stuff...
