fourlug Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 I could probably do some research and find this... buuut. I'm just wondering if 2 SSD's will hold up to a kicker zx2500 @ 2 ohms (2500wrms) or will I have to go with BL's? There's $100 price difference on each woofer not including options, also which options would be best? They'll be in a ported box tuned around 32-34hz in a CRX, daily driven. Quote
JPagan Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 I would go with the BLs, they would take that power much better than the ssd. Quote
fourlug Posted June 8, 2009 Author Report Posted June 8, 2009 I know it would be the better option.. But would the BL's hold up? I had two HD315's off two zx2500's @ 1 ohm... they lasted 6 months until one of the subs blew. But I was clipping the shit out of them as well lol. Point being I run the shit outa my equipment but won't get butt hurt when I break stuff. Quote
JPagan Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 The most i would run on a fully loaded BL is 1500 watts. Quote
fourlug Posted June 8, 2009 Author Report Posted June 8, 2009 I'll only be looking at 1250 on each sub, thats under pretty damn good conditions too... realistically it'll probably only put out 2000-2200? Quote
Guest Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 you can just turn the gain down to 2000rms, if you have fully loaded SSD's, they should easily take 1000rms. Quote
MATTMAN24 Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 an amp is only as good as the electical that supports it Quote HIDS and projector headlights forsale http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/99528-hid-projector-headlights-and-hid-kit-look/ 24's and Tires forsale http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/100286-24s-with-tires-for-sale-east-texas/
fourlug Posted June 8, 2009 Author Report Posted June 8, 2009 an amp is only as good as the electical that supports it My electrical will be just dandy, if you read I ran two of these amps @ 1 ohm. I just need a couple caps... :hairtrick: Quote
fourlug Posted June 8, 2009 Author Report Posted June 8, 2009 I'll go with BL's Good without any options? Quote
Basshead08 Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 If you plan on running that amp to its full potential you should definitely get the options because the birthsheets for those amps is normally closer to 3,000 watts than it is 2,500. Quote System tear out has begun...Out with the old i have a iq of 128 i graduated at the top of my class tell me how im reatrded you are the 1 thats dumb as hell you can't even spell Look at the underlined text hahahahahahahaha I think of it as the virgin losing the virginity technique not just jumping in to it, and pounding away, but going at it slowly over time, to get to that full extreme
