No, Fi does not send shims with their recones generally and neither do the majority of any other sub companies. All i have ever used is business card stock to do mine or any other i have done/helped other people do. As long as you know the principals, use some common sense and pay attention to a little detail to make sure the tensil leads are all lined up b4 you spray any activator, you should be fine. Reconing is actually very easy.
