Different Connections For Bass Knob On Different Amps

Recommended Posts

I have 3 Hifonics Brutus amps. 1 is an older model with the standard phone connection (bass knob is the same). 2 are newer models with a CAT5 connection (bass knob is the same).

So- how do I connect the 3 together to one knob, especially when 2 use the CAT5 and the other 1 uses the phone line? I have the tools to make all of the connections and whatnot, I just have no clue what signal wire does what. It could be possible that the new amps have something extra that the old one doesn't and the knob needs the extra signal wires.

I haven't written HIFONICS yet. ...and I'm not so sure I should even fool with the knob. It gets loud now, I just like lots of knobs to play with. :)

Do they have the same number of wires in the connector? Are they the same color? If there are the same number and color of wires I'm guessing you could just make a y-harness to connect them. :unknw: If not you will probably have to contact Hifonics
