Colin - STAPUFT Posted June 13, 2009 Report Posted June 13, 2009 I have 3 Hifonics Brutus amps. 1 is an older model with the standard phone connection (bass knob is the same). 2 are newer models with a CAT5 connection (bass knob is the same). So- how do I connect the 3 together to one knob, especially when 2 use the CAT5 and the other 1 uses the phone line? I have the tools to make all of the connections and whatnot, I just have no clue what signal wire does what. It could be possible that the new amps have something extra that the old one doesn't and the knob needs the extra signal wires. I haven't written HIFONICS yet. ...and I'm not so sure I should even fool with the knob. It gets loud now, I just like lots of knobs to play with. 12 - 12"s in the STAY PUFT 1989 Chevy Astro Build & Comment Log Un-Interrupted Build LogYouTube Channel Chevy Trailblazer 5.1 Dolby Digital DTS Install You have a beard of a mysterious sea captain. Blue_C1500 Posted June 14, 2009 Report Posted June 14, 2009 Do they have the same number of wires in the connector? Are they the same color? If there are the same number and color of wires I'm guessing you could just make a y-harness to connect them. If not you will probably have to contact Hifonics HU: Pioneer Highs: 2X 4X6"s, 2X 3.5"s, 4X 5.25" comps, Q-Logic kicks, and a Sundown SAX-125.2 Subs: 4 Nightshade 15s and Strapped SAZ-3500Ds <---Sundown FTW Electrical: dual DC Power 320s (ordered) and 2 D3400s up frt and 4 D2700s in the back .ʇı ɥʇıʍ ʞɔnɟ ʇ,uɐɔ noʎ 'ʞɔıp ǝɹos ɐ ǝʞı1 sı uʍopunS

Boon Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 Get your multimeter out and tone them out I bet the CAT5 ones don't even use all the wires 10.x volts fo' life!
