BassAddict32
okay, so i have a question and it might be a bit stupid but i'm gonna ask anyway, which way is it better to face subs if you want flex?? like if they're in a truck, do you face them toward the trunk or up at the roof or what?? just wondering. Guest
sedan with seats up is usually sub back port back, unless you can find a way to have the air from the port routed into the cabin of the car. sedan with seats down is usually sub front port front suv's usually are sub up and port back. Team_DC-Derrick
well you said your doing it in a suv type truck right? subs up port back would yeild the best from what ive seen in almost every application... but subs up port up shouldnt be that bad either Quote The DC Integra 3 18s to 6 15 build log Team_DC-Derrick's Youtube Team DC Audio where theres a will theres a wall....... BassAddict32
okay, i'm gonna ask this question under here, what causes flex? the box type or the woofer type? Quote 1994 Ford F150 reg cab 2 HFX 12's Audiopipe APSM-1300
marine87
okay, i'm gonna ask this question under here, what causes flex? the box type or the woofer type? when you say "flex", are you talking about the excursion of the woofer, or the metal of your car flexing? if you're talking about the woofer, it depends on the "xmax" or the "throw" of the woofer. the longer the throw, the more air can be moved. if you're talking about your car, it's the sound pressure your subwoofer creates. i'm sure some more experienced people can help ya out with this one. beaker
I've seen 1 10 in a focus flex the roof and pound. Honestly it really depends on the car, box type and woofer. Unless you throw thousands of watts in subs and amps in there. People hate to hear this but it takes testing, testing, oh, and uhh, testing.
