BassAddict32 Posted June 14, 2009 Report Share Posted June 14, 2009 okay, so i have a question and it might be a bit stupid but i'm gonna ask anyway, which way is it better to face subs if you want flex?? like if they're in a truck, do you face them toward the trunk or up at the roof or what?? just wondering. Kranny Posted June 14, 2009 Report Share Posted June 14, 2009 sedan with seats up is usually sub back port back, unless you can find a way to have the air from the port routed into the cabin of the car. sedan with seats down is usually sub front port front suv's usually are sub up and port back. marine87 Posted July 9, 2009 Report Share Posted July 9, 2009 okay, i'm gonna ask this question under here, what causes flex? the box type or the woofer type? when you say "flex", are you talking about the excursion of the woofer, or the metal of your car flexing? if you're talking about the woofer, it depends on the "xmax" or the "throw" of the woofer. the longer the throw, the more air can be moved. if you're talking about your car, it's the sound pressure your subwoofer creates. i'm sure some more experienced people can help ya out with this one. Unless you throw thousands of watts in subs and amps in there. People hate to hear this but it takes testing, testing, oh, and uhh, testing.
