In THIS case only about 1/8"....but you can make the WHOLE 45 outta resin like steve and many others have done. Inthis case, I was just saving some resin and givving it an mdf base to build up off of. 100% Resin 45's tend to either not cure in a decent amount of time or CRACK from being mixed too hot, so to combat that I used the mdf then just a lil skin coat of resin that I knew would driy in a decent amount of time without cracking. The tendency is to mix it tooo hot based on impatience and not wanting to sit around while the 45's cure.
