  • 3 weeks later...

Ok so I have updates.

Happening tonight and tomorrow all day

Building kicks for Punch 6.5, one tweeter mounted coax, one mounted in A-pillar.

Running 0/1 for Sundown SAE1200D

Installing 170 amp alt.

Big 3 all in 0/1

Testing LED's for gauges, dome lights, courtesy lights etc...

Installing front components.

Ripping out shitty audiopipe RCA's that were pre-ran when I got the car.

Installing Knukonceptz Krystall 4 channel 6 meter RCA's =]

Mounting head unit a little more securely (bracket came loose a couple days ago..)

Installing SAE1200D

Building amp rack under storage compartment (when the 3rd seat folds down, the flap locks)

This weekend-

Ripping out headliner and re-doing it.

Bought a lvl4 xl motor and basket (Thanks DCexplorer, Ordering recone Thursday)

Starting box (somewhere around 6-7^3ft at 35ish hz most likely)

Box will completely fiberglassed on inside with inch and 3/4 dowl rod support, all corners 45'd with wood, and topped with resin puddle covers. Kerfed port, double layer face, smoothed, sanded and painted. I have a half gallon of black and clear chillin' at the parents house lol. Might as well use it.

Ya so I change my mind about what I'm doing with the wagon like I take showers (twice a day) lol. BUT This is final, I already have the 1200D chillin under my bed, and the lvl4 xl should be shipped soon. I started kicks today after work, and I'm working on the wagon non-stop tomorrow since I am off work.

UPS FTMFL

Bought it blown from DC explorer, but now I gotta replace the basket too.

Props for Rusty, pulled the coil and cone and spider assembly out and it was still really shiny and smooth after seeing 3000+ watts of a sundown 3k

So, time to order a basket and recone.

This made me happy though =]

Got some pics.

Ran wires, cleaned things up, re-ran RCA's down opposite side from power wire, ran 0/1 power and ground for SAE 1200D, re-ran ground for 4 channel, big 3 done, alternator pulled, ran new 4 channel RCA's, all thats left to run is the amp bass knob, and the remote wire.

Money is extremely short right now. So I'll start the box next, and then order my recone.

Starting to tear down.

Going in this afternoon.

New headunit installed last week (panasonic CQ700U)

Back pillars are wrapped and ready for glass for Punch 162s components.

4 channel is in, 1200D is in.

The wagon just got a new water pump, thermostat, upper and lower radiator hoses, and a crap load of other stuff, and its getting and oil change this afternoon.

Off to homedepot for some wood.

box is 1.5 on the dot after all displacement @ 40hz.

Happy birthday to me!

Pics-

Didn't feel like running new speaker wire ALL the way down the car for the fronts, so I got the wire color chart of the 12volt, and butted together the rear and front speaker wire behind the dash, and hooked in the rear wire to my amp. I'll run new wire eventually...lol.

Getting started

Posted Image

Random stuff while cordless batteries were charging

Posted Image

Electrical (pardon the green fan shroud, over spray dust from painting my bikes frame, it wipes right off)

Posted Image

New deck (Panasonic's are my favorite, and have been since I was 16, I've had 3 lol)

Posted Image

Making cuts and building, my saw's metal base got bent, and started doing crazy angled cuts, so I had to re-do like 6.

Posted Image

One amp in

Posted Image

I love locking compartments

Posted Image

Temporary paint, not sure what I'm going to wrap it in yet

Posted Image

Going in!

Posted Image

Yummy :D

Well, my first DC product...and I LOVE it. This is one bad ass ten, it's just laughing at the sundown 1200D. *Eventually* the setup will b 4 (maybe 6) on a Diablo 8.1 and an 18V system. Anyone want vids? =]
