Frankenwagon build (Carputer,HID,more to come)

Recommended Posts

wow that's pretty awesome... it's gunna get loud in there

I'm hoping it will. I haven't broken 150 yet, so thats the goal. Closest I've done is 147.5 or something at 44hz. (2) DD 9917 C motor, on a Z1 at 2 ohm, dropping to 12.1 volts on a burp.

I'll be re-coning the DC xl motor to an 18 and fixing the sundown 1200 to run in the wagon for a month or so. Then when income tax hits I'll order subs, and then start towards the amp.

Update

Just got in exchange for body work and fiberglass work on my buddies race civic that I'll be doing.

...

(2) Crossfire BMF 12's

Old school rockford punch 802s? cant remember exact number, 400x2 at 2ohms. It's the one with dual 8 gauge power and ground

Hooker prefab 2-12 dual ported box (It's 3/4 inch construction, can't complain)

Just ordered-

Future vision 6k H4 bi-xenon kit, from the sale.

Diamond cut H4656 non-sealed projector housings.

The BMF's will go in along with the rockford amp while money is building for subs and amp in February. After that, they will go into my 4 door cutlass.

The weather is horrible right now also...updates when I get a chance to work on it Christmas day.

those should work out great

I've always liked them. Local shop carries crossfire out the wazoo. I'll find out how they function in the wagon after lunch tomorrow if weather permits. They will be going in my 4 door cutlass in a couple of months.

I thought about that actually, and if money is available I will. It will be much better then a normal HDD...no moving parts and the shock resistance is just all around better...that and this will be a "lower" end computer, just for what is available on the market. The SSD would help performance a lot if I ran a 64gb or something with a bare XP pro install.

I only have 2gb of music and music video's. Then 2 gb of chopped and screwed music so 64gb SDD would be plenty enough space just for multimedia for the car.
