Edit : try this kind of box with 5 inches of port in the center tuned @ 32 hz ..... I bet you it will rock ass ! Yes that kind of flared port can be loud and be clean sounding(ik cause I've done a few boxes like that) but there is never ONE correct way to do a port. Different ports work for different boxes. I do know they work different for sure .i went through 2 builds and some corrections before i was finally satisfied !but i was just telling him to try that kind of box and port. less space alot of power ='s more sub control and lower frequencies and I would almost bet it would be cleaner and louder if he just gave it a shot ! we live and learn you never know until you try!
