Rose-Villian
If this Is going in a Truck... WHY Would you do a Port on the bottom..? It would get Much louder, And Meter Better with Port on the TOP of the Box Along with Woofer's... PORT UP SUBS UP.... Your Wasting your time and Material Doing the port there... I have spent a good part of six months designing/measuring/planing this box/buildThe port was designed so the air would go under the seat and have 0 port noise. by doing it this way the top looks clean and you can't drop anything in the port I'm not Wasting any time or Material Doing it this way There is roughly 10" from the port to the seat. and roughly 8" from the seat to the floor. LSN2meBoom916
IMO good quality wood with strategic bracing is better than that maze of 2x4s i see Also- i wouldn't be worried with .25" of glass on the walls -Drew 25 cubes before displacement, 8 after haha just playin thats an ass load of bracing tho Update same box with less bracing I had so much to say.... but then it had got saided already... I gotta agree, it's TOUGH to get good output outta a port aimed at the floor in a cab...unless there is a CRAZY amount of "open space" in front of the port....even when I heard Gately's old '78ish Ford truck with 2 L7 8's in a downfiring bow and it SLUMPED (sounded like some 12's in that bish) it had about 8ish inches of space IN FRONT or the sub/port....I'd say you gotta have as many inches ...closer to the diameter of the subs ur using to have that work out.... I would say the subs up port up would meter better or subs front and port front/up would be about the same.
