~digital~bass~
Agreed. You don't need a box tuned to 28 or 30 to hit the lows. Just because you are tuned to say 38+ doesn't mean your f3 is that high. Like I said I tried to play songs that I play in other cars tuned in the ranges of 33-45hz and it does not do the same. Boon
I disagree. Like I said it is easier for a low tuned box to play higher than a high tunes box to play low. In my systems I really only like to full tilt it with songs that go very low and alot of others I tried to play the same songs the sub moves but there is no pressure. My daily box is 'tuned' in the 40's and will play 29hz loud enough to flap the glovebox back and forth by a good inch. It's about loading. Tuning frequency is just the free space tuning, if you model/measure the response of a system in your car you'll soon see that a box 'tuned' to 45hz will play well into the low 30's, even high 20's. That's what PWK's boxes are all about - a lot of them you look at and think damn, that must be tuned so damn high but it's about the box and car combining as a whole. Quote 10.x volts fo' life! siucsaluki11
yes it is. And even so. My subs are meant for a sealed box going by the EBP or whatever it is. But in a ported box its just a big arch when i go 5 cubes at 30 Hz for my 2 clarions. They love it. I was just sayin for me, that is what worked best, i gained alot on the lows more so than with my old box that was 4 cubes tuned to 35 Hz Quote woman..cant live with em...cant shoot em...guess were all fucked You might be a Redneck if you use your leftover gutters for a speaker box port... I just dont get why people think flex is cool and proves how loud you are. Awsome your glove moves an inch. Could be quality of car as well. Quote Car Audio + Bodyboarding/Longboarding = LIFE!!!
