quakecitystudio
Sometimes, show clipping may not work. The very limit of recorded audio is 1 and -1 as far as amplitude goes. If you look at your posted spectrum, the very limit "caps" off any sound that tries to go above it, in other words it "clips" those sounds. So it turns a sound into a square wave with a flat top. quakecitystudio
There's really no way to fix it, because it was first recorded in original format, then enhanced (which is why it's clipping) and now you have it. If you try to fix it, say lower the levels, it would still be "capped" but at a lower volume, it would sound like it's clipping but audacity wouldn't show it because it isn't at the amplitude limit in audacity. Decaf
i love the old audacity look at bigpimpns how to tell a song is clipped thread.... i contributed alot of pictures using audacity and windows media player to show this you need to zoom in about 10 times to really see it lows clip, highs clip, mids clip and they all look different
Decaf
if you notice, a decent amount of my music does reach "clipping" limits... but its the duration of the clip that makes it ok or bad nano seconds of highs clipping wont do a damn thing a 3 second bass note repeated 30 times in a song with a heavy clip is not good, cause the extra heat buildup, then that glue smell comes alive

basshead4life
this is clipping show in audacity. the top is shake that ass and the bottom is let my beat pound. you can see shake that ass is majorly clipped and let my beat pound has a few normal ones.
