Nope...your gain is too high and your amp is already tapped out.... abervintageman42 Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 so just back it down i guess yup just back the gain down, tune your amp like this, turn HU up to volume to where speakers distort, then turn it down to where they dont distort anymore, then turn your gain up till subs distort w. bass knob at 3/4 then back off on gain till they stop distorting, there are many ways to tune an amp, i did mine like this and it sounds fine, bass on HU is at 0 BTW
t-money Posted June 23, 2009 Author Report Posted June 23, 2009 so wouldnt that make my subs distort at full tilt and full knob? 2002 ford focus hatch pioneer DEH-P8400bh infinity kappa 6.5 components front and rear XS Power D1200 Shuriken BT-100 audioque 120.4 2 15 inch audioque HDC3 D2 2 audioque 2200d big 3 mechman 220a alt with external regulator 479-418-3056
Chris from Mi Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 um, i definitely wouldnt set your gain like that. personally i dont use bass boost, as it only boosts a certain frequency with a certain bandwidth, read up in the amplifier section of how to set your amplifier gains, or better yet meade has a youtube video on it, sorry dont have the link Orion 2500D, Jbl Gto 75.4 Team Wolfpack Audio FSQ 15" d2, mb quart xover, tweets peerless 6.5 mids Alpine cda-105 optima up front Knu klm 1/0
