David
well if its real silver it should, as silver is the best conductor. if you want the best wire possible, with the highest strand count, and you can afford it, you want this Audison sonus 1/

~digital~bass~
You dont only want to be looking at the strand count. You also need to see what gauge each strand is. A higher strand count with a lower gauge per strand might be a worse option than a lower strand count wire but higher gauge per strand. Quote Car Audio + Bodyboarding/Longboarding = LIFE!!! David
thats not entirely true. electrons flow on the outside not through the wire.
~digital~bass~
I didnt say it will be a better wire but it possibly could. But you are correct as well. Scosche had 1 of the best 4 gauge wires awhile back. Their flat wire had alot more surface area than a round wire. Luckily I still have a brand new roll of 100ft left haha. David
from an audison dealer. its not cheap at all, probably the most expensive 1/0 on the market, but its also the best 1/
David
strand count isn't for flexibility, it's for the "skin effect", the electricity doesn't travel through the core of a strand of wire, it "wraps" itself around the surface of it. more strand count means more surface area for the electricity to flow with....just look up skin effect, lots of info on it, but does apply more to AC power....either way strand count is about more than just being flexible. skin effect is AC not DC The skin effect is the tendency of an alternating electric current (AC) to distribute itself within a conductor so that the current density near the surface of the conductor is greater than that at its core. That is, the electric current tends to flow at the "skin" of the conductor. The skin effect causes the effective resistance of the conductor to increase with the frequency of the current. Skin effect is due to eddy currents set up by the AC current.
