CASZ71 Posted June 28, 2009 Report Posted June 28, 2009 Ok so for a while now Ive been wanting to lift my 98 chevy 1500 4WD but havent had the money and i was considering raising the front by tighting the torsion bars.. Ive heard bad and good things about doing this.. The bad things Ive heard are it will make the front of the truck ride rough and will make everything in the frontend wear more quickly.. On the other hand I know people who have done this and had no problems or complaints at all.. I think the max u can raise them on my truck is 2 inches.. If you have done this to your truck let me know how its affected it.. Bad?? Good?? Problems?? let me know.. Still changes the angles of the suspension "A frames" idk what theyre called.. IFS sucks for lifting.. Still changes the angles of the suspension "A frames" idk what theyre called.. nope! i have a leveling kit on my Duramax... the keys are re-indexed and it does not change any of the factory geometry. if you have the right guys do it, you wont even need a front end alignment! BTW the reindexed torsion keys are so you DONT have to crank you torsion bars up... yes, IFS does suck! i would really enjoy some 37's over my dinky 33's...
