lanman31337
Yes, I have the battery grounded. I have one run from the front battery (3/0) going back to the rear battery, and I also have a run of 1/0 grounded at the engine going to the rear battery. With or without the 1/0 connected I still get noise. lanman31337
It did this with two other batteries. Both have been replaced. It did it when I had the temple of boom initially. I wanna get it fixed so I can play the volume down some Quote 2 - Audiopipe AP30001Ds 1 - Lanzar Opti Scion 600.4 4 - Lanzar Optidrive 1232D's 1 - Lanzar Opti 5.1 1 - Lanzar Opti 6.1 1 - Lanzar Opti 6C midbass 1 - Alphasonic PCT6551 1 - Lanzar VX830 1 - JBL 22 band EQ 1 - Lanzar SDBT75NU 1 - AudioControl Epic160

lanman31337
You know and I know that we know that we're no dummies. When we both get stumped, we're stumped! I fried both of my 8's in the rear deck simultaneously, magic smoke and all. Don't wang and plug in rcas, speakers don't like that. lanman31337
Time to shit bricks ladies and gentlemen. I put a Radio Shack noise filter in my constant power line. There is no more noise. Zero at all. My noise filter cherry has been popped. I've never ever ever had to use one on car audio. lanman31337
I lied. I fired it up again, and the noise is there. Time to try a ground loop isolator. Boon
The problem with most of the cheaper ground loop isolators is of course you lose a lot of your midbass, since that's what the frequency the noise is. It's a 1997 Pontiac Sunfire. You need a transformer based one. I don't know how the cheap ones work but the good ones actually electrically isolate the source from the device. This prevents the difference in potential between the 2 that creates the ground loop. Blocks DC but not AC (i.e. music) so it won't affect your midbass at all. Quote 10.x volts fo' life!
