Probably be very loud off about 1500~2000 watts total, but do you have a chevy express van to put it in? haha.. You'd be looking at a constant 314 sq.in. port that'd be roughly 35~45 feet long..

I think i did a rough estimate of 4.5 cubes.. But when figuring a 1/4 wave t-line, your really not shooting for a target number of cubic feet..
Miles Posted August 1, 2009 Author Report Posted August 1, 2009 FINALLLYY!!!! Got it metered last night.. And clamped at the same time to see what the new RockfordFosgate Prime 500 would really do. Ran through the lanes and did a 137.2 legal on the dash at 40hz i believe. I prob could've done a 138 but did have time to test and tune.. The kid that i built this box for also got the new Prime 500 amp and when we clamped it, it did 501 watts with a 5 ohm impedence rise.. Pics will be up later of the amp.. Question? Suggestions?

But i've found the Kenwood 9104 i think it is.. Says it puts out 900 rms at 2 ohms.. Hell, even if it just did 700 watts i woul be more than happy.. Any thoughts on this amp? been running one for a few months now. Its a good amp. Dont think it makes the rated 900, dont think it has the fusing for it even. But id have to go check. I run it daily at 2 ohms full tilt sometimes for upwards of an hour on end (driving through cornfields to get to my grandparents or uncles) and it never gets hot. woman..cant live with em...cant shoot em...guess were all fucked You might be a Redneck if you use your leftover gutters for a speaker box port... So say its tuned to 30 Hz. 1130/30=37.66ft 37.66ft/4= quarterwave = 9.42 ft (rounded) So yes it will be a big ass box, but the port will still only be almost 9.5 ft long woman..cant live with em...cant shoot em...guess were all fucked You might be a Redneck if you use your leftover gutters for a speaker box port... This morning I was checking out that thread where the guy built the t-line for his home stereo with one 10", and I was like, "One 10" ? For a home setup ? Why not a 15" or 18"..... So I went on to say (quoting myself) > "I considered a t-line for my truck.... But I'd have to practically wall it, just to make a t-line big enough for my two 12"s"............. .......Then, the rest of the damn day, I got onto one of my AADD induced kicks, asking myself > So why not "wall" my Supercab, for a t-line for my two 12"s ??? Anyway, I'm going to look back over the formula posted earlier in this thread, but if anybody wants to play with this (and I'd appreciate it too) my box can be "at least" 54" wide, x 50" tall (but 48" would be better, for obvious reasons ), by 22" deep. My quick, rough estimates this morning were that a transmission line for my two 12"s would be 210 sq. inches. So, I was thinking my line could could be about 11" tall, by 19 1/2" deep, and if folded left to right, 4 X's, could be "up to" about 16 feet in length. I was hoping for a nice DEEEP tuning of say 20hz. I've heard that a really low tuning on a t-line, won't hurt its production of say 40hz to 80hz bass, either. {and that almost nothing digs deeper than a t-line anyway If these specs matter, my 12"s are: Qts: .31 Qes: .35 Qms: 3.33 Fs: 21.5 Hz Re: 3.7 Vas: 162L Oh, they are eD 13Kv.2's. Not the loudest..... but not bad, and great SQ. They sound great in a 3 cube enclosure, ported, and tuned to about 32Hz. Oh, and I'm giving them 700 wts RMS from my RF Power 1000... and would do the same in the t-line. Any help will be appreciated, Peace, Fish
