HHR Ed
you won't get much better than Ed's answer IMOthere was a similar topic like this when I first joined and Ed said the same thing so I believe it plus he has some badass woofers Thanks man, I do try. We have done many many tests and found that doing a break in sequence does nothing to change the performance or durability of a sub compared to just installing it and playing normally from the get go. So far the only company I know that recommends otherwise is DD, and that will depend on whom at DD answers the phone. loburbon
i didnt have a problem with my t3's i threw the power at em and they took it like a champ. but i will tell from first hand experience, when it comes to the 3500, 9500, and 9900 series dd's you have to break them in or the will blow up. i put a 9518 in a customers car and he didnt listen to me and cranked it up and within 8 hours blew it up. got the new one in and listen to me and it's still playin to this day Quote 2000 gmc yukon 4 sundown Zv3 15's 4 dd m2a's kenwood kdc-x994 2 batcap 4000's 1 batcap 2000 dual alts. 154@37hz and climbing http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3231683 http://www.myspace.com/torque150

HHR Ed
can sum1 try to answer my other question that i asked in the post above. Please and Thankyou could be a glue joint on the coil came loose. So the coil and/or cone is bouncing around making a tapping noise. You will need to get the sub reconed.
