Torres Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 yes double baffles are very helpful. flush mounts also act as an extra baffle, tho the sub sits recessed in the top board. i'm racking my brain right now...but everytime you double a board up...it strengthens the stiffening factor by 8? there was a post around here about that. buuuut it was a while ago. but using a double baffle does more than just 'double' the strength of it
iTech Posted July 11, 2009 Author Report Posted July 11, 2009 Thanks, I just really want to make a good subwoofer box I won't be disappointed with because the one I have right now is .5" MDF and sounds horrible at loud volumes.
