Quicksilver56's Second Skin Promo/T-Line Reinforcement Build

Recommended Posts

So I won one of the door packs of Damplifier Pro that Second Skin gave away. I haven't used all of the door pack yet but I deadened my hatch and underneath the hatch where the latch is and I'm going to use the remainder of it on my front doors. In the process of all this upgrading I figured it was time to double baffle my t-line and add some allthread for bracing.

The equipment:

Alpine CDA-9887

RF T1k (Elite) @ 4ohms

RF p450.4 4 channel (yet to be installed)

2 10" RF p2's in a 34hz t-line

El Cheapo Pioneer 5.25"s in the dash

El Cheapo Pioneer 6.5"s in the rear

Optima Red Top

EDIT: Forgot to say, the Second Skin Damplifier Pro is AMAZING. Thanks so much ANT! It shipped quick, sticks great, easy to work with and get around corners and whatnot, and easy to cut.

I didn't take any pics when I was building the t-line, so all I have are finished pics of it.

Here's some pics, there will be more to come of the deadening.

To start the day off right, some new toys

And it was hot as hell so this little guy helped alot.

Couldn't get the plastic off the hatch all the way so I said fuck it and worked with it. I didn't want to use all the deadener on the hatch so I just got the bigger, flatter spots and didn't worry about cutting around the wires and lock/latch levers.

Around the piece where it latches, lot of small pieces added up to alot more than I thought it would.

I put some on my tag but I didn't get any pics of that.

T-Line before the reinforcements. Don't mind my crooked cuts, it's sealed up good on every seem.

I've been around pro audio for my whole life, so I thought I'd integrate a little of it into my system with a Neutrik Speakon terminal.

Double baffle cut. I just got a router and don't have a circle jig or a cutting bit so no flushed woofers yet.
