dirtboi22 Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 ok so i have 2 re sx 15's and i am in need of an amp. i was looking at getting ethier the power acoustic bamf 4000 or the 5500 amp. i would like to put 1200 on each sub. the bamf 4000 says it can put 1200 on a 4ohm woofer and mine are both 2 ohm, so that would mean mine would each get 1200. but i have heard they are a little over rated so i was wondering if i should go with the 5500 because it would be 1700 on each, and then i would always have the ability to upgrade to bigger woofers. let me know what you think.

amazinblazin10 Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 The power acousticks are good budget amplifiers but like you said they are over rated... highly.. i would look around first maybe look into other brands such as HiFonics or sundown or what not. [/quote My subs are dual 2 ohm each. but yea, i should probly just wait and buy a better quality amp. is it better to put a amp on each sub, or to have one big one for both??
