CarAudioFab
Hey guys! I am working on planning out a new system and need some advice. I am going to run a 15" BTL in my Taurus and plan on powering it with the SAZ-2000D. I have the stock alternator but have been 1/0 Gauge already along with the Big 3 in 1/0. I am thinking I am going to need a secondary battery and a new alt. Can someone point me in the direction of what kinda output alternator I should look for as well as what kind of battery! Greatly appreciated thank you! Mark Quote -Mark Host of "CarAudioFabrication" - YouTube Car Audio Tutorial Channel Check out my forum section here on SMD for my builds and tutorial videos! Nightshade
Talk to Matt at Mechman for both the alt and the battery. He'll hook you up with one of his sick alt's and then can get you set up with an XS Power D3100 or D2700. I would reccomend at least one of those batteries for that amp for you to be happy. I have 2 saz2000d's in my car along with 2 XS Power D3100's and a Deka Intimidator G34 up front. I can unhook one battery and only lose .1db's as far as spl goes, but for daily beating it's way better for me to have two of them. Right now I'm running a stock alt and everything is fine. I'm just trying to beat the piss out of it so I can justify getting a new one to the wife so even though I'm not running an alt I should be and so should you. Matt is your guy to talk to. bobonit
Mechman has the best prices in town on Powermaster batteries, also mention to Matt you are from SMD and you get free shipping. Also check out Rob at DCPower for alts too. Customer Service at both places is great.
