dmanson Posted July 18, 2009 Report Posted July 18, 2009 What up guys ............ anyways in my sig below you can see i already have a kinetik HC2000 and 800. i was thinking about getting 3 more 800s to add to my system along with selling my amp and getting either a RF T2500.1 or American Bass VFL 150.1 ........... the system will be powered with a 225 mechman alt w/mla mod. Do you think my electrical is strong enough to hold up against either of these amps with the 5 batteries total and 225 alt???? 2-DC 15XLM2 D.7s 1-DC 5K amp (1) XS Power D6500(UNDERHOOD) and (1) XS3000(REAR) 3 runs 1/0ga for power and 2 runs of 1/0ga for negative. (2)-RFT165s components, ...... 4 separate 1 inch tweetersRF T600-2(fronts) Punch 450.4(rear) Audiocontrol 3.1. DC power 260amp alternator w/MLA Module

I would run at least 1 more run of 1/0 for positive, and if you are running all your grounds back up to the front, a 2nd run of 1/0 for ground. Line all 4 800's in a row and use the neg off on end then the pos off the other end?
dmanson Posted July 21, 2009 Author Report Posted July 21, 2009 Yeh i could just get a couple big batteries but i like my space. i got an 04 Expedition and between the back of my 2nd row and box is just enough space for about 5 HC800s total. i can get a pretty good deal on the 800s so that's why i'm sticking with them and i'll only be running around 3500RMS. Another run of 1/0 would help for sure but i'll get the amp and see how my voltage drop reacts and go from there with adding 3-4 more 800s.
