lolitskasey Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 Well so i got this old punch sub from my uncle. I took it all apart and the voice coils looked fine none of them were burnt. The only think wrong with it was the lead wires were all fucked. Well anyway i wanted to buy a recone for the sub how do i tell if the motor is blown or should i just buy the recone and hope it works?
skittlesRgood Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 motors cant blow. its just a big magnet. you dont NEED a recone for leads. you can just solder on new wires and be done. but if you want to do the recone, dont worry about the motor.
