Moti
So Seth, even more mainstream parts? Is i7 going to be replaced by i9? Trying to narrow down my choices for a future build.
newls1
So Seth, even more mainstream parts? Is i7 going to be replaced by i9? Trying to narrow down my choices for a future build. Um......Here is what im thinking: Corei9 will be intels first 6core cpu (plus HT) on the skt 1366 platform. So with that said, I think at that point, it will "FORCE" i7 into the "mainstream" segment until it is possibly killed off (Remeber, intel works on the "TICK" _ "TOCK" way of doing things. The Core i9, i7, i5, i3 (Arcticture) was the "TOCK" where as the Penyrn core was a "TICK" see where im getting at? Core i9 will be a "TICK" and I think once Intel does another TOCK move i7, i9, i5, i3 will be forced into mainstream, and be CHEAP!
