if her family is any kind of decent, they'll get over it. it may take them a while, but shit what kind of people want their granddaughter to grow up with split parents, im lucky, my parents have been together for 20 years, but almost everyone of my friends have split parents and ive seen first hand how hard it is to grow up living in one parents home, MAYBE seeing the other parent every other weekend

My parents divorced about 8-9 years ago, and got back together about 5 years ago and remarried about 3 years ago. I know this isn't the case for everyone, but there's always that chance. And she should make the decision based on whats best for the child and you guys, her parents shouldn't matter. My sister married an alcoholic, ex-drug user, bipolar... the list goes on and although my parents are still upset about it, they more or less got over it and we see them almost every day.
