sean 371 Posted April 7, 2007 Author Report Posted April 7, 2007 K, it took me foreverrrr to get the rings how i liked them and how they wouldnt hit the dash or e brake pedal. I would have liked to aim them a little better, but I had no choice. The tweets are aimed pretty well though. Here are some pics: Rings pre-rounding: Streched, resined, first layer of glass: I'm gonna go throw a second layer, possibly a third on, then some duraglass/filler and lots of sanding! I'm painting these a dark grey color (to match the vinyl accents in the car) and might throw on a flakeish clear coat. We'll see how they're looking. sean 371 Posted April 7, 2007 Author Report Posted April 7, 2007 Okay new pics! I was in the garage for 15 and a half hours today I took my time though. And spent probably 2-3 hours of that time sanding. I don't have a jasper jig, and my lil plywood jig was giving me problems. So that explains why it took so long. Oh and because it's a verrry tight fit down there, and I had to readjust the ring placement a whole lot. duraglassed: sanded: bondo coat #1: sanded: bondo coat #2: sanded: guide coat: That's all I got for tonight. I'm gonna take a break from this for a day or two. Hopefully my carpet will come in and i can finish the rest of the system back up. As usual, let me know what you think/how it looks.
