Thewes
I am finally getting back into the hobby and throwing some 18's in my car. I want to pound out 28-32hz notes on music. Out of these subwoofers, which would handle the lows the best? (I don't know exactly what determines it, I think it has to do with the suspension, xmax, etc) This is also assuming each sub was in its proper enclosure accordingly tuned to 28hz. - RE Audio XXX 18'' - Sundown Audio Nightshade 18'' - Incriminator Audio Death Peantly 18'' - DC Audio Level 4xl (or 5) 18'' These are just a couple of the companies I feel most comfortable buying from. If you have any other recommendations get at me. FI is another great company, Scott is a great dude, but I ran it in my last build so I want to switch it up. Thanks. wL<3bass
All of those subs can play low with the right box configuration but the XXX gets down with the whales but kinda falls on its face in the higher bass frequencies and overall loudness when compared to the other subs mentioned..... Thewes
i think any of those subs would hit down low if the box is tuned low I know they will all hit low in the proper box, but I am specifically looking for a sub that will shine on the low notes, you know what I'm saying? And is the XXX really noticeably not as loud as the rest of the subs? I figured if I throw 3k watts on it, it will scream and hit the lows I want it to. If your focusing on just lows.....I myself would prolly pick the XXX Take a look at the Orion HCCA.....they seem to love the lows aswell. 6 ORION HCCA 15.2s 15k rms tuned 27hz, 157db@27hz and 153.3 @20hz name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344">"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344">" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344">"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344">" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"> Edited July 30, 2009 by wL<3bass Quote Vehicle: 1997 S10 Blazer 4dr 4X4 Exterior: Rear End Bagged, Black Grill, Lifted 2" Amplifiers: Rockford Fosgate T8004 & T10001bd Batteries: 2 Stinger SPV35, Kinetik HC2400 Electrical: Big 3, DC Power 290amp Alternator w/ MLA at 15.5v Enclosure: 4.2 ft³ @ 33Hz 84sq.in. of port (20sq.in. per cube) Headunit: Eclipse CD3200 w/ 80G iPod Mids/Highs: Rockford T152s (a-pillars), Rockford T162s (doors) Subwoofers: 1 15" Fi BL Fully Loaded Wire: All 1/0g Kicker Hyperflex My YouTube Videos My Fiberglass A-Pillar Build My "Seamless" Looking Box Build My DD1508 T-Line Bandpass Build "Seamless" w/ Acrylic Windows (for '05 TrailBlazer) My Stealth 8" Fiberglass Build (for '05 TrailBlazer) My Build For A Friend's '08 Cobalt 15" BL Sealed Off From The Trunk My feedback/references... Derrick824
I like my four Sundown sa-12s better than I do my two NightShade 15s for playing the lows. No doubt the NightShades are louder though.
