liftedranger08 Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 I gota old box that i built back in the day and i have some 15s laying around. Well the box is 6.3 cubic ft with 4 4" ports that are 15" long. My question is, are 4 4" ports enough for this box? 2000 White Ford Ranger 5" RCD lift 33x12.50 Mickey Thompson MTZs on 16x8 Mickey Thompson Classic 2s Euro Altezza tail lights 5% window tint Clarion Indash 4 Q Power 15s 1 Sundown 2000 1 DC power 300 amp alt(on the way)-soon to be 2 2 powermaster d925s batteries Second Skin Deadener Highs/mids amp-Crossfire 404 Door speakers-2 5x7 mb quarts and 1 5 1/4" black max up front, stock 5x7s in the rear Soon to Come: Lots of SA-8s 2 Sundown saz 3500s(possible 4500s) 5-7 d3100 batteries custom clamshell BNC 8s for mids undecided tweeters
korey_hofer Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 a little on the low side but is that box 6.3 before or after ports previously known as wenn_du_weinst aka fucking internet coward supreme. I talk shit on other forums like a little bitch and hope i don't get caught out on the street.
banginAltima Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 Four 4 inch aero ports are just fine for a box around 6 cubes. If you build it, db's will come... liftedranger08 Posted August 1, 2009 Author Report Posted August 1, 2009 Alrite thanks, ill post pics of the box prolly tomorrow. Right now, its got a divider in the middle, so its 2 separate chambers that are 3 cubic ft each. Will taking the divider out make it a lot of difference. Instead of 2 3 cubic ft chambers, it will be 1 6cubic ft common chamber. It will be tuned to 33hz either way. 2000 White Ford Ranger 5" RCD lift 33x12.50 Mickey Thompson MTZs on 16x8 Mickey Thompson Classic 2s Euro Altezza tail lights 5% window tint Clarion Indash 4 Q Power 15s 1 Sundown 2000 1 DC power 300 amp alt(on the way)-soon to be 2 2 powermaster d925s batteries Second Skin Deadener Highs/mids amp-Crossfire 404 Door speakers-2 5x7 mb quarts and 1 5 1/4" black max up front, stock 5x7s in the rear Soon to Come: Lots of SA-8s 2 Sundown saz 3500s(possible 4500s) 5-7 d3100 batteries custom clamshell BNC 8s for mids undecided tweeters
Basshead08 Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 You have to account for the displacement of the divider also. When you take it out its gonna increase volume therefore changing tuning a bit. I wouldleave it because if nothing else it adds bracing. System tear out has begun...Out with the old i have a iq of 128 i graduated at the top of my class tell me how im reatrded you are the 1 thats dumb as hell you can't even spell Look at the underlined text hahahahahahahaha I think of it as the virgin losing the virginity technique not just jumping in to it, and pounding away, but going at it slowly over time, to get to that full extreme
liftedranger08 Posted August 2, 2009 Author Report Posted August 2, 2009 Ill take some pics of it tomorrow. Im putting it in because im going to finish my box for my 12. I gota add some more bracing to it, paint and make supports for the ports, and carpet the box. 2000 White Ford Ranger 5" RCD lift 33x12.50 Mickey Thompson MTZs on 16x8 Mickey Thompson Classic 2s Euro Altezza tail lights 5% window tint Clarion Indash 4 Q Power 15s 1 Sundown 2000 1 DC power 300 amp alt(on the way)-soon to be 2 2 powermaster d925s batteries Second Skin Deadener Highs/mids amp-Crossfire 404 Door speakers-2 5x7 mb quarts and 1 5 1/4" black max up front, stock 5x7s in the rear Soon to Come: Lots of SA-8s 2 Sundown saz 3500s(possible 4500s) 5-7 d3100 batteries custom clamshell BNC 8s for mids undecided tweeters
