Recommended Posts

Alright well I got a 200 amp rewound alternator from Billls Suburban Alternator and now since I have a job, I figure I should do the big 3. So I got 2 ought wiring and I am lost with the big 3.

here is the alternator in the car

Like it says in the pic, I have to do postiive on alt to positive on battery, im assuming the one with the plastic cover is positive?

but which one is the negative cuz I have to do negative on that to chassis...

I have another problem, here are my terminals

the Terminal has bigger holes than almsot all the nuts in my car... what can I do?

and last question would this be a good ground

Use a washer for your hole size issue and as far as the alternator that appears to be the correct positive and negative, may want a second opinion though

Any of these should do.

Edit; as long as it is one that acepts 0/2 wire.

car audio is just a LOT more complicated than "this amp does this power" or "this sub will be this loud". its like 2 + 2 = banana. (if that confuses you then you get the point) lol

the ones you have shown are both negatives.looking at the pic id use the one to the right it looks easier to access.and its a nut, the other is a bolt you have to deal with. also heat shrink or tape the exposed wire where the terminals are, so no accidents.
