battery gauges and power? oh my! o.o

OK heres whats up. i have a 140 amp alternator and a deep cycle optima red top battery powering my blazer ATM. and a 2 gauge wire run to the back for my existing system, but now i am upgrading and was wondering if 2 gauge would work to connect another battery and then 1/0 wire to the amp. or do i have to upgrade the 2 gauge wire running to the back to 1/0 wire to? all i really want to know is the most cost efficient way to get 2 batteries connected and ran to the amp and the amp ran to the subs. i also have a 2fd capacitor for it. its a RF T2001. and what kind of wire do i need to run from the amp to the subs, i have 2 FiBL D1, and i was wondering if i actually needed anything else. just ask if any more information is needed.

Front to rear batt 0ga with an batt isolator SR200 is a pretty good isolator and the stinger 0ga kit is a good lookin kit from rear batt to amps use what ever the amp has for inputs if its 4 than use 4 if its 0 than use 0 as for the subs probably a good 8ga or 4ga if it will accpet that use pure copper non of that cca stuff thats my 2 cents

useing 2 guage will get you by, but it would be best for your electrical if you bumped it to 1/0. there is less resistance in the thicker wire. plus it can handle more power being sent from the front battery to the back battery.

to run your subs from your amp, use whatever works for you. the smallest i have ever used for amp-to-sub connections was 12 guage rockford and knukonceptz wire. i will typically use a 8 or 10 guage wire, again for the power flow.

why would he want to run an isolator????? Doesnt that void the purpose
