EricR Posted August 9, 2009 Report Posted August 9, 2009 i thought there were no this vs that threads allowed? either way both companies sell amazing products so just pick one and go with it i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?

Either way, theyre both great companys I run DC and have a bunch of buddies that run IA. And it does take alot to keep up with em.. Mp3 pimp did a swap from level 5's to IA death penalties and his peak note when down 7hz and he got a couple points louder.
Andrew2944r Posted August 9, 2009 Report Posted August 9, 2009 No he went down in score but his peak went from 42 with the DC's to 35 with the DP's from a direct swap and he lost .6 dB as far as comparing the two, the 5's were louder overall, i like em a lot, even down low. these are much stronger down low in my application though. ive never had flex like this before, and i love my lows, so i like these better, they are .6 db quieter, but the peak went from 42 to 35, so i expect that. __________________ Team Ampere Audio
