Nightshade Posted September 3, 2009 Author Report Share Posted September 3, 2009 the only thing i would change about the box is maybe make it narrower, but longer....just enough room for the sub to fit without hanging over....if u can fit it...that way there is less 'dead space' on the wall where the port is... but awesome numbers! That was my origional plan to make the face just big enough for the sub but the box would have been too tall and ended up over the window line. It is actually going to be redesigned for about the same amount of airspace and 2 12's instead of a single 15. My goal is a 155 with a pair of 12's off around 9-10K watts.Also thanks for the comment. I appreciate the feedback. I've tested since I last posted and the numbers have jumped up quite a bit, I'll post them officially after this upcoming weekend since it is NSPL finals. I did a brace in the box since I was getting a ton of flex when I burped it. Decided to glass over the brace and do another layer on the bottom of the inside of the box too. Enjoy!!! Pics of box after it had been glassed and corners rounded over. Muh brace for the sidez. The brace glassed up. New numbers next week and maybe a video. Depends on if you guys would consider it for System of the Month. I can tell you this the last time I was testing I had one of the 2000d's mounted to the box and I was doing my consistent number. Then all of the sudden the number dropped by .4db and we looked inside the car to figure out why. The amp fell off the box and made the score drop. I put the amp back on and the score came right back. So I figured by adding a brace that would definately help the score out some. I haven't tested yet since the brace has been added.
