rawlins87 Posted August 12, 2009 Report Posted August 12, 2009 Looking for a beefy 8" subwoofer. Something that can possibly withstand 1500wrms. How much can the 1508 DD's withstand? (i understand the box will greatly effect the rms) Are the any other high power/ high efficent 8" subs? Also anyone know of an with a high xmax? say like 20-30mm?

Im not sure if they can take 1500 rms though as I've never used them. I think sundown is coming out with a new 8" that'll take around 500 rms iirc. IG: devinthydude

Boon Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 1508's are beasts. They shoooould take 1500wrms for a burp. We put a pair of them on a Fusion 4000D @ 2 ohms (~3kw) and they took it for a burp. 10.x volts fo' life!
